However, if you're planning to play it using a keyboard/kb+m, I'd say it's a no no.
2. i think this spring/early summer, so soon, but it seems like a game that will be getting constant updates. in a lot of ways it is already a polished product, the most obvious things lacking are graphics & the AI bumps you a lot.
3. idk, haven't played GT.
4. not sure but i kind of doubt it. even with a controller you get very fun feedback from the vibration. if you are a pretty major PC gamer, a pad is well worth the investment anyway just as a standard piece of gaming kit & you wont regret it. if you're big into racing sims i think you'd get a lot out of a wheel, especially from what everyone says with this game.
Could you give me the link? I did not know many people has ask it already.
What's wrong with the kb+mouse? Is that really bad?
Thank you Sir. But did you have ever tried play this game with kb? I can't afford gamepad for now. I play alot of racing games in console. Well, I have gamepad, but it's not 360 one so I doubt it will work on Assetto Corsa and the quality is really... well...
GT is like a car collection game, AC is a true car simulation game.
That being said, I've been playing assetto corsa from a friend's PC for quiet a while now and I finally grabbed myself a copy.
This game is amazing, there is almost no comparison, it's more fun AND more realistic.
GT has more cars and tracks, but whenever you're playing it you never feel like "I should drive this car because it might be slightly different in that corner or track".
GT has a nice managing and RPG side which I like, but the driving side of the game (which should be 99% of it...) isn't as good as Assetto Corsa.
My opinion :)
Have a nice day
My advice is to go with GT6 is you want the whole package then buy AC when the game is finished or close to release.
* The X-Bow handles like a total ♥♥♥♥♥ in both games as well.
Well, you're missing on analogue inputs for the throttle and braking, considering that these are more important then steerting, I'd say yes, it's bad. IIRC you can tweak the throttle response for digital inputs, but it's more of a convenience than something that makes much sense.
If it has analogue sticks and triggers you're all set, AC supports all xinput/dinput devices out of the box.
Assetto corsa is everything you need.
They are different enough to make it a personal choice.
Personally I think F1 2013 is the best racing game atm, I like F1 cars and no other game gets the feel right to what you see on TV. I've played some AC and my friend has who does a lot of track days, he wasn't impressed, said it feels nothing like the real thing. I've never raced a car (a motorcycle person) so I have to take his word for it, but my Mother said the same thing as she used to do some Rally and said it was crap and was bored quickly.
That isn't a dig on AC, it is at these so called sims in general. I remember seeing a video of Lewis Hamilton and this so called realistic PC sim (cannot remember the game) and he kept crashing and didn't seemed impressed either, to him it was nothing like racing in real life.
So I just think play the game you enjoy, they all have pluses and minuses, but none of them are like real life.
