How offline is it?

I'm thinking about getting AC during the current sale (or even after that, if I can't get an answer in time – I'm not that cheap =D). But I have a question that I didn't see definitively answered anywhere in the forums.

Can singleplayer be played offline?

I mean, as offline as a Steam game can get. I want to be able to flick Steam into offline mode and play this game when the connection is out, or there isn't any. An Internet connection is listed with the game's system requirements, which for games with a singleplayer mode is usually only the case when they rely on some external server/account/service to run. If that's the case, that would be an immediate dealbreaker.

I do not have an Internet connection. Do you have to be connected to the internet to use ASSETTO CORSA?

No: Steam has an “offline” mode that allows you to access the game without being connected to the Internet. However, you will need to be connected to the Internet to download the game and any updates.

Yes, no worries about stuff still missing... I just wanted to be sure that it's not going to be tied to some separate account outside of Steam.
