Mods - where and what ?

I know we can apply mods to this game. Never into applying mods before unless its through steam workshop. Can someone point me what are the best car/track/utilities etc. mods for this game and where to get them. Do these mods work okay or should I expect random crashes?

Some good mods are the Top Gear test track and other tracks.I never had random chrashes.They work perfectly.

installation couldnt really be easier, for tracks you just go to the AC directory, content--tracks & drop them in. crashes arent a problem but glitches certainly can be & youll find the quality & states of the tracks will of course be highly variable.

actually I was on the verge of buying the game because I thought it will definitely go up for 50%. Anyways I will definetely buy this within this sale whether it goes up at 50% or not. Asked about the mods because though the quality of content is good, I wanted some quantity as well, otherwise the game will stale a little too fast for me. The devs being busy with the initial release, I am not expecting too much new content soon. Hence was looking at mod options. Thanks,

Which track mods are good? I see a lot of Nordschleife mod videos. That mod looks legit and of decent quality. ZAT0 suggested TopGear. Any other?

the nordschliefe is the definite fan favorite. its still in development, like most of the most promising tracks. most of the others arent conversions though, & thus while they have a lot of potential, its usually just the track layed down with little else.

lately kunos has given the OK to convert the old netkar tracks, but each has to be approved by the devs (i think ACs actual track designer), so those should be up to a pretty good standard. others you just have to try for yourself or go by feedback on the forums.

Alot of the tracks on race department are nearly finished it seems, id go there and sort by user rating. Graphic quality varries, but someone added Gunsai touge.. which just made me insanely happy.. Bring on the JDM cars.

all tracks from "thestrobe" suck balls on RD.
Look for netkar Pro Conversions! and scratch mades like Montreal.
These are only worth installing.
I have them only installed, none of the rfactor conversions.
I even dislike the Nordschleife conversion of snoopy, but thats my OPINION :D

agree on thestrobes work lest the one i dld v1.0 horrible lighting and the timing does not work for anything. If anything he should label his mods v0.1 if there are broken and give some indication he will work out the problems.
