You can build something yourself - you just need an finegrain usb input device - like an single paddle and put a tube of metal on it. Try 2 match your clutch paddle as the handbrake (just for testing purpose). If AC dont recognise (yet?) different forces and only works on a 1/0 mode ... i wouldnt put so much money into it
I dont understand why people are combining it with the g27 - just use it as an external device on its own. So you dont need 2 modify your g27. I'm pretty sure everyone got an free usb part at his pc, right?

The problem I have at the moment, I don't know very well how I can make one lol, I think something like this:

Its pointless if it works with on/off mode only. And it doesnt get "more real" only 'cause you think you are using an "real handbrake" its ridiculous. Even worse than my english :-P

For it to work on logitech, you will need a separate usb adapter which is another 20 bucks.
Some games you can map the clutch slider to work as hand brake, but assetto does not support it. They should though.
Also stinky board has a foot base you could rig up like this guy. I dont agree with it, but it works.

Both items are a hundred bucks, so I think fanatec solution is best.
Fanatec is known to be slow to ship, but the wait is worth it.
There are more elite versions from richmo tech. Those are not cheap fyi.
I made my own hydraulic handrake which is pending patent to be sold. Some parts of it are still in development for universal applications.

I guess this is good for the do it your selfer.
Mine is a little simpler, with no risk of spilling fluid. I sell mine for about what this build cost. The main base part is the same, the rest is different. I had pictures up, but not one up vote so I deleted it.

I bought one of thr Fanatec Hand Brakes, it is very good, having it allowed me to learn how to drift. It is about $120 US with the USB adaptor that is needed to connect it to a pc.
