Fastest car in Nordscheife
I have downloaded today the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak mod by Rally World (I am not sure whether this mod is authorized or not) but this thing absolutely destroyed, crashed and smashed all the record times I held for the standard 20 km Nordschleifle layout. It has killed everything potentially competetive: F1's from various mods, LMPs as well as Audi 90 IMSA GTO S1.

What is especially interesting is that top speed of this car is just 233 km/h, but it reaches this speed nearly at any point of the track, maintaining a very high average speed which actually makes the lap time.

What are the other ultra fast cars, maybe somebody knows and can suggest other mods.

It's not exactly a legit mod, I'm pretty sure that they model was stolen from one of the DIRT games.

HOWEVER, I know Rallyworld, and their mods are pretty high quality.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure the only things that would have a chance against that thing would maybe be another PP car.
The result shouldn't all that surprising :P. These cars are designed to reach their topspeed in such a short distance. The huge amount of downforce they create is part of that super low topspeed, that and the gear ratios of course., Given the Nordschleifle has alot of tight corners, any car with a high downforce layout can chop more time off their laps than a supercar would make on the straights.
Im getting this.
Link to car please

The link to the car is here: https://mega.nz/#!oYxygL6b!QGl-C486cHsOO1B8QRknK6k3MjTJq6yKp_GI24K3GBw

But you should not expect too much from the model of the car, it is pretty low polygonal, headlamps and brake lights are fake. Driving also gets rather boring quick, as you hit the top speed almost in no time and can "cruise" around the circuit.
Looks like the model is possibly from Dirt 3.

I had a feeling that the quality wouldn't hold up porting from rFactor to AC.
The quality of the car model is really very poor. If somebody makes a really quality addon based on this car (for example URD guys) it would be a whole different story. So far it is just the very fast mockup.
So, how realistic is this, really ?
what was your times with it out of curiosity?

I'd have to double check, but I think my fastest was 6:45 or thereabouts with the Lotus 125

Its a squir model, paid £50 for it, was a waste of money because as you can see, it looks like ♥♥♥♥. Well it does on purpose, we knew it was gonna get shared so we reduced the texture quality and didnt finish the physics because we expected it to be shared. interior still is crap though
You expected it to be shared? Really? Who'd have thought that people would want to download a mod... weird.

i had a private group i said dont share the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mod or i will not make any more mods. It got shared, i stopped making mods, its just that simple. i get your point and i learnt my lesson, my money goes to more useful things now.
Mods are mods. I don't see the point in making them private, it never works out.
Yes i came from the flying community where everything was a paymod so i came into this modding scene expecting the same thing.

You can still get paid, just not directly......
Ad revenue.
Donation suggestion boxes.
Or locked encryption keys to open or download file depending on services.

Many free programs have them. Some purely on donations. Few will pay, but it is something. If the page you have the mod on has advertising space, you get that money even if they don't download the mod. Use your youtube page to display the mod and post the link there. In the vid put a small part about donation help fund development, and link to pay you via paypal. I say youtube because I know it has adsense.

Drm is hard to implement for a free lancer, but there are other ways to manage the files. If you are doing out of passion for the game then that shouldn't matter. But if that's how you want to go, then hold the encryption key hostage and use payment for the key.

Trust me it works. I know this is fragmented but I am tossing ideas at you any one of them will work if you want it to. Just depends on your approach. Either way you wont get rich on a few mods. Best of luck to you.
