are you all using linux or windows?
have you try to run in 64 or 32 bit ??? (i mean the game)
have you try to launch the AC icon like admin ???
I use windows
I've tried to launch it in admin mode, but i havne't tried to run it in 64 or 32 bit, and i have windows but not done anything to get the windows version i just bought the ultimate edition
Yeah i have onedrive off is that good or bad?
I just turned it on and it still dosent work...
As you have only just got the game you will not have previous experience of how the game launches to troubleshoot. If you are running to game 'out of the box' and with no mods - when you launch it in Steam, you are really opening the games launcher. The launcher opens the games back end menu where you have a menu UI where you can chose things like quick race, career, practice etc and where you can select cars and tracks etc. From this menu you then click to launch/drive and the game engine is loaded with the settings you chose.
I do not know what happened and when but at some point something changed with this launcher and it fails to open for some. I have had the game since launch (coming up 10 years) and I took a break for 5 years and came back to it and had this issue.
If you have experience with the game and understand how the launcher and game engine and .ini files all work you can set what car/track/game mode etc you want to play in launcher.ini (C:\Users\<yourwindowsusername>\Documents\Assetto Corsa\cfgfiles\launcher.ini) and then launch the game engine (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\assettocorsa\acs_x86.exe) rather than the launcher and load straight into the track/car/mode etc you selected in the .ini file as this is all the game is doing anyway when you launch it from Steam and chose your car/track etc.
There is another way though and that is to use an aftermarket/MOD game launcher and this is what we all do. In fact most people who play AC now use this MOD launcher even if they do not have issues with the game launching anyway as it is more powerful than the default one and has more options and it makes running other addons much easier too. This is called Content Manager (CM). I would suggest downloading it and seeing if this allows you to launch the game instead.
Sorry you are having this issue and it is a shame as the game used to launch without issue and run fine. The game is also great and incredible value if you buy the ultimate version on a sale.
Good luck and have fun!
I am lucky that I do have this experience and that I was able to work around the issue and I say that I am lucky because when AC is on sale, you get a great sim with a lot of content for an amazing price. It is just such as shame that new players have this issue and are put off.
AC2 is supposed to come out in 2024 though and I would think this will work fine for all!
Thanks for the advice!
i am trying for like 2to3 mouths i have watched many many videos but nothing helps me
