Cars feel too slidy
Hey!

I just got back to AC after a 1 month break. I upated my hardware and im running a G27 now. I just have a problem. The cars feel very slidy and undrivable. Last time when i played asetto (i also had a wheel, just not good as this one) the cars didn't feel so slidy. There is no grip pretty much if you turn/ brake. I just lose traction very fast. It feels like the track surface is set to poor or something despite im running the track on optimum. Did they change something with a patch or what am i experiencing? Anypody else experiencing this? Thank you for any answers :)

ps. Sorry for the bad english

I also just played Gran turismo 5 yesterday with G27 and the cars didn't slide like they do in this game :/

the 1.2 update changed something with the tires so there is more slip, the cars are still very driveable i think you just have to be patient & adjust.

also if you want a lot of grip use semislicks for street cars or use race cars. the road cars with street tires should be pretty slippery.

Is there anyway to get the cars more grippy? I like to drive the BMW E30 M3, the DTM version, and it felt much better when i played last time.

Check car setup and track conditions (temperature etc.).
Might be that if you are using old setup it is not loaded correctly with new version and so on.

Okay i'll try it. It just feels like i would have done a really long burnout and then went driving. Literally no grip on the back wheels.

Sorry to barge in on your chat folks.
I've not been able to play corsa for months due to illness.
It felt so odd after not driving so long.
Not saying its perfect, but it feels like i am back in control.

GT5 isn't a sim, mind, the cars are gonna be far more grippy no matter what.

Zip104 My wheel settings are OK and i really like them. The sliding dosen't come from my wheel settings.

Well my old logitech (forGT4)would still be plugged into corsa if it had not worn out after 8 yrs.
Seems more expensive wheels mean two things
The force feedback in all your games feels nothing like before.
New learning curve getting used to the new wheel.
I've had mine since last Saturday, still not used to it yet.
Sorry i could not help.
Kunos cater for all hardware from standard to ;well you've seen some setups people have.
I would have bought an old sporty car,if i had that sort of cash.
Over to Kunos for you i think, they may have explanation.Email em see what they say.
Please pass it on if it will help we Corsa's

Jack the tire pressure down to as low as it'll go, put rear/front wing as high for rear and low for front (If applicable) they'll go.

I use the Lotus 125 and run 9-8 PSI in both the rear and fronts and put the front wing to 7- or 8 and the rear wing to 24 or 25.

There was a problem with extreme graining in the wheels but there was patch for that..
Some cars have large toe-out at rear by default, setting that closer to neutral helps in some cases.

I think problem might be that you got too used to GT5 during the break.. ;)

most certainly...i read alot of people complaining about AC compared to GrandTourismo, not realizing that the GraTo games are not simulations... although they are not as arcady as most others, they are still rather "believable" than "realistic" over all... ac is just a much heavier caliber

Yes, now cars more sliding. After 1.2 patch Kunos improved tyre physics and of course FFB. And keyword here - IMPROVED. Now game much more realistic and fun. I have G 27 too, and after patch i feel all these changes.

Every time guys? Really?! Someone say "GranTurismo" in PC sim forum, and everyone scream about how arcade it is. GT - half-sim race game. Maybe not pure sim because outdated. Earlier we called games from codemasters - racing simulators.

That does not mean people were right back then..

Sure, standards were lower perhaps?
But maybe people were also easier to fool into thinking that way?

Anyway, these days there is a word for that (including GT5): "simcade"
Meaning that not entirely simulation but more realistic than arcade.
