You will get used to the keys and yes it is analog.
Analog was all we had for years & years. :-) Works great.
If you never tried a sim game before, it's definitely something to try! Most of us started up simracing by driving on keyboard... but hardly anybody plays it that way since mouse/gamepads/wheels make it much better experiance.
You have an analog keyboard?
Cherry MX are NOT analog. Some keyboard makers use word "analog" when the switch is using some non standard technology like optical to get the moment of keypress. But they all are just normal ON/OFF switches - meaning the output is digital 0 or 1.
Now there are a few actual Analog keyboards. Wooting one for example, does work as if every key happened to be one directional analog stick like you have on your gamepad.
If you have that one, then Yeah definitely it should work great in AC ... should as so little people have analog keyboards that no way to tell if there wont be compatibility issues.
Wheel, gamepad, or even mouse are all easier than just standard mechaical keyboard. This is a simulation game, not your typical arcade racer. You have to have to be able to go 50% or 70% or 10% on the brake pedal, or throttle and keep it there. Key mashing comes close but imagine doing that in a real car...
Definitely. My next choice would be 'mouse steering, then controller and finally keyboard.
