"no comment" was 2 much comment^^
i'm about 2-3 seconds a lap faster with a wheel over controller...
I find drifting easier with controler. but racing and drifting is 50x more fun with a wheel..
(you can get a used G27 for around $100-200)
My parrents didn't buy my wheel, I have a 7 yearold pc, instead of upgrading my pc I bought a wheel....
Maybe you can hit wheel user's lap times with your gamepad, but i doubt you will get them as consistently as a boog wheel user. And for the "immersion" aspect of playing with a wheel, it makes a world of difference. I learned to drive manual with my wheel and Assetto Corsa.

I'll help you. First, you need to install a Custom Shader Patch. Downlaod from here : https://acstuff.ru/patch/ Now, you might be wondering, 'But this is a shader a.k.a graphic mods, how is it helping?". This patch actually gives you an option to full throttle and use clutch with your keyboard (but no analog input, it's like on and off control).
What is full throttle? In Assetto Corsa, even if we turned off traction control, there's still some kind of forced TC when we play with mouse and keyboard. You can see it on the pedal app when you try to drive on grass or when you try to drift, the throttle reduced when the wheels lose traction. With this CSP, you can bind a keyboard to enable full throttle and the clutch too.
Still tho, what's hard about drifting with mouse imo is the feeling. Right now I'm still learning to drift with 10% stability control with my mouse. Sometimes I can hold the drift, but for most of the time I spun out.
I really want to buy a wheel but damn, it's just too expensive for me. Usually after watching Noriyaro's videos I got hyped up and want to drift in AC, but then I always spun out because I either too late to counter steer, counter steer too much, or I can't control the throttle leading me to can't drift then feel stressed and sad cause I can't drift it ;_;
