UPDATE: 10/10-15: Finally an official workaround

From the AC forum
"Fix will come on monday. In the meantime, you can try this solution:

open assetto_corsa.ini file located in your Steam folder\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg

and set:
[THREADING]
USE_TIMER_PROCESS=-1
to
[THREADING]
USE_TIMER_PROCESS=0

Thanks for your patience."

UPDATE 09/10-15: Check log if you have dCollide error
What to do:
1. Go to -- > C:\Users\<user>\Documents\Assetto Corsa\logs
2. Open " log.txt "
3. Press: Ctrl + F
4. Search for the word: "dCollide"
5. If you have this error in your log, you have to wait for the developers to figure out the solution. They are working on the problem.

Check your video settings. It happens sometimes that the video settings get reset after updating.

So the Video settings was not reset. But I tried a bunch of different things.

- 3 different resolutions: 2700x2300 DSR , 1920x1080, 640 x 480.
- I tried Anti-aliasing OFF and Anisotropic filtering OFF
- I tried all normal effects OFF
- I tried all post-processing effects OFF.
- I tried 3 different tracks
- I tried 3 different cars
- I tried Career, Practice mode, Hot Lap, Time Attack.

No success. I get into the pit-stop menu for 2 seconds before screen goes black -- >> back to main menu in all cases.

I am having the same problem at a time and already can not play downloaded ja my pc configuration can handle ultra Resolution and does it.help plis

Either force the game to run in 32bit, in options-general, or install vc redist 2013 x64. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2013

Problem This Directive on Another update and changed the Screen resolution decided , hj bought the dream pack 2 and I went to play again the problem already tried to lower the screen resolution and td and nothing 's certain it tries to load and back to the selection menu, I do not know what's going on my wheel games td in ultra is no sign of trouble and nothing need a solution I want to play

Tried more things:

- Updated to the newest Nvidia Driver, 358.50 - same problem
- VC redist x64 2010, 2012 and 2013 was already installed, but I tried to repair them. - no result
- Finally I checked the Force 32 bit in the settings. Same thing happened, but this time, I also got an error messege, "assettoCorsa x86 stopped working"

No I do not have any mods installed, but I have added a couple of comunnity tracks.

So you do have mods then ;)

Try removing anything that shouldn't be there by default, you could also try renaming the Assetto Corsa folder in 'Documents' and see if it will now load. This has always been a problem for some people when an update is released, and this is a big update.

You might have to set up the resolution and controller settings again once you do this.

Technically added tracks are not mods, but add-ons. They don't change anything about the core game, since you just copy paste a folder, BUT I will try to remove them. Update soon.

- I removed the Documents - > Assetto Corsa-Folder. It didn't help. Now I didn't even get into the pit-stop menu. Game crashed during loading screen and I went back to the main menu.

- My FINAL attempt is to reinstall the game. I am taking one for the team here guys. 35 minutes left to download.... update SOON!

Hey guys ! Assetto Corsa devs are working on the problem. I have posted my troubleshoot there aswell. Hopefully they have a fix soon. I really want to tap that Audi R8 XD
