Things I would try in your shoes, after every step, try running an offline race with stock car/track and check if it works;
1. verify game files of AC in steam, let it replace and fix any corrupt or missing files
2. in CM, disable CSP to see if any of those settings are interferring
3. double check CM screen resolution matches desktop
4. Run AC via steam without CM altogether
5. Confirm AC executables are not black listed in any of your AV or windows defender software. Those apps might have made some background changes or updates without the user even knowing, even though any blacklisting of AX.exe usually happens upon installation, not just randomly a few days/weeks later, but still worth checking
And of course the last options is a full reinstall of AC and CM which could only take 10 minutes if you have a fast connection
Rule #1: Post a message and you will then fix the problem within minutes.
The solution : The display setting
The display was on "Rift VR" . Changed it to "Flatscreen" and it worked.
Once working in flatscreen, I changed the display type "Open VR" ( I normally play in VR) and I was back in business
