Hey guys, do you know any free or paid Formula 1 mods? Like complete 2012 or 2004 season with all cars from this season. Thanks for any response !

ASR has the complete 1991 grid. VRC has good range, but not a complete grid. However their cars are arguably far better quality than ASR. I use both and enjoy each for what they offer. Also for the VRC cars there are free sk1ns available on racedepartment to give the full of a complete grid.

#edited because steam doesn't like the term free and skins together...

What about Sim Dream Development? Should I trust them? I read bad reviews about them for stealing mods and selling them, low quality etc. I would like to buy 2012 Season from them but I am not sure. https://www.assettocorsamods.org/product/assetto-corsa-grand-prix-2012-mod/

Only heard bad things about them (including directly from mod creators).

Ok, thank you.

Sim Dream are a scam site. Do not buy anything from them. The mods are not of good enough quality to be paymods (RSS for example make scratchmade paymods that are higher quality than Kunos cars so they are worth paying for) and some of them are actually stolen mods. Like, a car is available for RF2 as a free mod, Sim Dream do a trash quality unauthorized rip of it for AC and then sell it. Absolutely don't support that.

2004 F1 season is possible. Buy the Ferrari DLC for F2004, download 2004 F1 skins (this is Renault skin I made with links to all the others https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/renault-r24-skin-for-f2004.22397/ ), and then make a custom championship with 2004 tracks and cars. Several of the tracks are official content, there are high quality mods for Suzuka, Monaco, Hockenheimring, Hungaroring at least. There should be mods for all the tracks but some of them are low quality. So you choose if you want to do a complete season including low quality tracks, or only use quality tracks which will still allow you do most of the season.

2013 cars (except of course F138 which is DLC) are available as a high quality free mod. https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/ferraris-opponents-2013-offline-edition.12188/

I just tried that download now, what a blast, totally enjoyed that. Thanks for the headsup. I'll try the 2004 skins tomorrow.

Me too, it looks like amazing.

Yeah, that's some great racing available there. F2004 and F138 are imo so much more enjoyable to drive than the hybrid F1 cars.

Also one thing I sometimes do with the tracks is a semi-fantasy season where I don't use only real tracks of that season but tracks which I find better and/or have better quality mods (or official ones). Like, I do Australian GP at Bathurst, USA GP at Laguna or Road America or Watkins Glen, Chinese GP at Macau etc. Whatever floats your boat. One great thing about playing a modding platform in singleplayer is you can set it up however you want.

In some cases sim dream developments are the only way to get certain cars in game, what's wrong about it is they charge, for simply converting them from mods which were made for free by other authors for earlier games, as if it were there own, not built from scratch like VRC for example.
So yeah thier like pirates I guess, but die hard fans will buy thier conversions to complete their Ai sets.

One thing that baffles me is this compulsive need of some people to get _exactly_ certain specific car, no matter the drawbacks. Like they want exactly a certain model and spec, they get a rubbish quality and/or overpriced and/or stolen mod. When the alternative is get a slightly different but very similar (IRL) car that is available as a higher quality and/or free and/or official. I choose the latter every single time.

Like, OP is asking for 2012 season. He could buy trash quality overpriced 2012 cars from Sim Dream. Or he could use the extremely similar (IRL) 2013 spec cars that are available as a very cheap (considering the content) official DLC and a free high quality mod. It's obvious what is the only logical thing to do, but someone else would go "I must needs have 2012 season! 2013 isn't good enough although I'm not quite sure what the difference even is!"

"only" reason I wanted it was the 2012 Redbull :D But Hoksu is right. 2013 mod is amazing.

Agreed, I like the hybrid F1 cars but I love the earlier cars.

Full cars are only on Simdream I think. Other years (like 2009) are just skins for 1 car.

But you can get multiple cars of 1 Year from ASR

The ones on Simdream are not full cars. In fact, not a single one of the Simdream cars I know of are full cars in any meaningful sense of the term.

That you do not understand and/or cannot tell the difference does not make them full cars. A Fiat doesn't become a Ferrari just because someone can't tell them apart.
