thanks, I saw that video already. The question was more about the durability of the metal and screws and damaging it with in-proper shifting. Dont want to take it apart on my own to look to not loose warranty.
The sensors seems to be the weak points on the shifter, I actually ordered a new shifter a week ago. After 350+ hours of torturing.
Actually, I think a friend of mine made the 2nd gear weak a year ago. It it was his first time trying it, he forgot a moment it was a pastic toy shifter, not his 87' Toyota Camry, he pulled the whole desk towards him and my monitor almost fell over the wheel. A year later, or now, the 2nd gear sensor is faulty. Now it sometimes jumps to neutral on it's own, and it's actually possible to put in in 4th gear while the lever is in 2nd gear position. So now I'm waiting for a replacement.

It's a bit expensive but it does cover your h-shifter needs and SQ all in one.
I upgraded my G25 shifter to this and I can't be more happier and the construction of the unit has no plastic inside or outside. The difference in massive that I doubt you would believe me but it's a nice upgrade and would work independent to your wheel and pedals.
Just a thought once that runs out of warranty.
