performing first time setup

i have downloaded the game but when i press the play button it starts downloding the first time setup but when its done downloading that i press the play button again to play... it just starts downloading the first time setup all over... i have tried uninstalling the game and install again but it wont help???? have i buyed a game that dont work ????

Ohh and if you haven't done so already please make sure you add an exception into the windows firewall for both exe's.

i have dx 11 but how do i post my logs ?

go to that directory and select them all right click and select add to archive.
then go to the official forums and start a new thread and upload the log files.
Instructions are on the site as well.

I have no probs with AC but maybe some other user.

tick "force 32-bit" in game menu - options - general.
Try to start steam or the game as administrator, from inside their folder, by right clicking on the .exe file.

There you'll need to post the logs, which are in Documents, and the forum account must be linked with steam, to be valid.

Guarantee you havent got the resolution and refresh rate matched to your monitor

If that is the case, then there is smoething wrong with your system.

time to format my friend. Even on a slow machine AC doesn't take one hour to install.

Or windows 10. But then if something doesn't work in win10, it gives you an option to reset the machine so that you don't keep old files from previous windows. (In win10, start-settings-updates-recovery).
