What kind of music do you listen to while playing?
I have basically zero interest in race cars, so I prefer tuned street cars. I like to imagine myself in the initial d universe, listening to eurobeat music while driving on akina or the tokyo highways that are available as mods. Too bad I can only race against myserlf on these tracks since AI doesn't work here. Oh well.

Those tracks aren't for ai racing, those are for togue drifting lol And I listen to the car sounds because thats the only way to hear the cars tires slipping and when to shift.

Not exactly. Grip driving in addition to drifting is possible in touge. I prefer grip driving as I have never been good at drift. Both are used in Initial D as well.

Looks boring to me. I prefer street cars to boring race cars. I like to tune a street car into something like a race car.

Also speak for yourself lol. Just because you do something a certain way doesn't mean everyone has to. "Man up". Lol I won't even respond to that.

Well you have wasted your money here then. But yes ,us simmers here that simmer away like to hear our cars roar. IRL I have the music up when I drive. Black Sabbath, Led Zep, STP, AiC, Soundgarden, Chris Cornell, Stereophinics,MSP, The list goes on....

Lol, not at all. This provides the perfect playground for modding and tinkering with data files, as well as the huge plethora of mods from the community, I probably have more fun playing this than you I'd imagine. I like hearing the cars as well but when I'm in my tuned up Porsche I imagine it with a stereo system too lol.

I listen to things that make me wanna go faster. If I can find a good song with a good rythm of the track I can kinda space out sometimes and run really well, some cases better than if I was paying attention.

If I'm learning a new track/car for a while I might wack on some hardstyle but if I really want to push I need to hear the tyres, I need to hear engine, I need everything I can to get a better idea of what's going on. Also some of the engines are just awesome sounding like the F150.

That's awesome man. Hardstyle is my favorite music, but when I listen it I get reallly into it and can't do anything else but listen. Which is your fav artist? Mine is Technoboy/Saifam stuff.

But yeah, I can do well to a point with music but if I need to get serious I need to hear the car.

Yeah Technoboy isn't bad I love the shayla tune he has but when he teamed up with Tuneboy to make TNT that was awesome. TNT is def a fav of mine.
Some of the older italian hardstyle isn't bad but it's the older sounds if you know what I mean. Zatox was one of the early guys, also the Prophet, Headhunterz, Wildstylez, Tetanka, ohhh look uip showtek (he has a great track call Showtime)

Showtek mix :) Sorry the mixing is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible but it has all his tracks in one link but yeah terrible DJ whoever put this mix together, great tracks but he/she can't mix to save themselves. edit: Just thinking about it, I think he might have his own channel on YT.

if you haven't listened to his music, all those gyus are the early pioneers to hardstyle. This mix below starts very slow but 3-4 minutes in it starts hardstyle and about 1/4 through to the end is all older hardstyle.and not bad at all.

Vocal hardstyle is pretty good (not sure if it's own sub category but if you YT vocal hardstyle you normally hit some really good mixes.

Also I don't mind hardbass as well or it's a bit old now but happy hardcore (scott brown stuff) and nu-nrg/hardhouse but that's now super old sounding stuff. but yeah I lvoe pretty much all techno except dubstep, i can't stand that ♥♥♥♥ cause you can't dance to it and if you do you always look like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ :P I love the shuffle and basically going hard :)

But yeah listening to hardstyle does get you into a rhythm but it's easy to get distracted but once I've learnt the general brake points and what not I then go no music to really get a good laptime in.

This year if I can save up the money and find the time I'm gonna go over to qlimax, decibel or a defcon in Europe. The aussie ones are great but it's not on the same scale or size as over there.
