It was made to prepare for driving lessons

I see that in September there will be a 2.0 verson of the game but by then you already have your license i guess :)
I wouldn't spend any time trying to learn to drive for a driving test and license in any sim game and only learn to drive for driving license by driving a real car as a learner with an adult with a full driving license acting as your legal supervisor. Other than that pay for proper lessons!
This is a link to the gov website for UK the requirements to drive a car as a learner with an insured and licensed driver acing as your supervisor:

Driving fast on a track where you are all going the same direction and there are no pedestrians, traffic or junctions is very different to road driving. I have never come across a road simulator that is anything like real life road driving. Simulating racing is much easier and sim racing games do this well.
You will get a much better sense of what it is like to drive on the road by watching videos on YT about hazard perception etc as this is the main thing when road driving and not your ability to trail brake or laptime.
