Steam > Settings > Controllers > General Controller Settings
What you do is first you run LGS, then connect your G29 and confirm it is connected in LGS. Then you calibrate and configure your wheel in LGS.
THEN you start AC and you do the basic wheel calibration wizard.
Then you race.
It's not as simple as just connecting your wheel via USB and starting AC. it's not just plug and play you have to do things in the right order.
I've done what you say, launch LGS or GHUB then see if my wheel is connected and calibrate & configure it and finally start AC.
But it's didn't work. I can see in Content Manager that I press on the gaz and brake pedal and that I move the wheel but when I start a race, a practise session nothing happen.
I have this problem for probably a month or more and it really annoye me to not be able to play my favourite game.
Thank you for trying to help me.
Steam detect no controller so I guess the problem isn't from Steam.
I aslo try to solve my problem by using your 2 link to other people's problem but it didn't work.
Unplug wheel.
Uninstall your wheel software.
Restart computer.
Install the wheel software.
Plug in your wheel.
Then you will need to configure it in the wheel software and then in the game.
I already try this. I don't know how many time I already uninstall Ghub and reinstall it. I've also try so many time to configure my pedals and whell in content manager but it didn't work.
I've also try to configure my wheel from AC (launch the game from Steam) but my game freeze or have a infinite loading screen when he load my cars.
Maybe uninstall Content Manager to see if you can get back you in game controls.
I do not have a G29 or use Content Manager so I cannot test.
I have a G27 with the LGS software not GHUB and as said I do not use Content Manager, I have no issues with AC, ACC, iRacing, R3R or rFactor2 but that is a bit like comparing chalk and cheese.

It didn't work to rename my wheel in Content Manager.
My problem can only come from Content manager because on other game my wheel work fine.
Info posted back here will help others who have or could have the same issue.
I write what I did at the top of this post ;)
That was the first thing I told you to do
