In my experience, there is a reason why these mods cannot be found on the "official" mod websites. Some model from some game is converted more or less well and then equipped with some kind of physics, according to the motto, it's fine.
I don't want to start talking about the sound of the vehicles, if it even exists, but 6 cylinders are not the same as 6 cylinders.
In addition, the proportions of the models are not always correct, some windows are opaque from the cockpit perspective, the doors are not closed properly when you are sitting in the vehicle, etc.
In addition, these conversions usually do not support the functions that the custom shader patch can add because they are just bad conversions.
If you just want to drive around and place little or no value on such details then you can do that. Have a backup copy of your AC folder on hand. You will need these.
But if you value these things then please let it be.
Mind you, these are my experiences with these so-called mods.
make a free account its at the bottom it just says here
They both have large selection of vehicles, and the best thing is fast downloads - just make sure to look for direct links.

Just bare in mind the vast majority of free AC mods are mods focusing on looks and aesthetics. Very few actually do the homework to get realistic physics and handling for free mods unless they have specifically mentioned so and can post rl comparison videos and lap times etc. Maybe less than 5% of mods are that serious about realism. For actual racing and improving driving, I would focus most of our time on the base AC and DLC cars. Mod cars are just for some offline fun to cruise around imo, nothing more.
