Problem with MNBA traffic cars :-( Any suggestions?

hey guys, i really enjoy driving at night with the MNBA traffic cars around me via traffic planner tool. but what really kills the pleasure is the fact that the taillights of the traffic cars only show up when i almost drove past them. the other car details like reflections etc. i can see from further away, its only the tail- and headlights popping up super late. i already tried the workaround/solution posted here and there some time ago (trafficcar.lua update lLOD 80 -> 250) but it did not have any effect. do you guys experience the same issue? can someone give me another hint on this subject? would love to hear it!
