This widget is where you set up your FOV by determining how far your center monitor is to your face.etc...
Also with the FOV widget you can adjust your seat forward and back along with the angle
Hello, I'm using 22" monitors and I have used the triple screen widget to set them up. The fov slider in that widget does nothing, except change the shading. It does nothing to the actual view. Perhaps I can change the distance to my face value and it will change the fov for me ?
Proper FOV is essential for getting faster times. If you are adjusting only to see more of your dash it may look better, but you will be causing the track to appear skewed and this will effect your driving
Simply input all your monitors data, horizontal screen width, physical bezel measurement, eye distance from centre screen and angle of the two end monitors- then the FOV and track scaling is correctly calculated for you.
After doing this, you can then ajdust the seat angle and position to get the cockpit lined up 1:1 scaled correctly with your physical steering wheel for added immersion.
Actually, I think I'll start planning out a driving cockpit, and get these triple monitors out of my office room. Every time someone sees them they make some joke about watching 3 porns at once.
