FOV setting wont work
I'm unable to get the FOV adjustment to work, either in the menu or in game via the FOV widget. If I adjust the slider in game it only shows some shading on the track moving. In the menus, I can't adjust it, unless I choose single monitor.

I'm using triple monitors and the FOV is way too low. I can't even see my mirrors or dash.

What size are your monitors and have you set up your screen via the "triple screen widget"?

This widget is where you set up your FOV by determining how far your center monitor is to your face.etc...

Also with the FOV widget you can adjust your seat forward and back along with the angle

Hello, I'm using 22" monitors and I have used the triple screen widget to set them up. The fov slider in that widget does nothing, except change the shading. It does nothing to the actual view. Perhaps I can change the distance to my face value and it will change the fov for me ?

yes that will change it for you

best to use a measuring tape to find the proper distance from your face to your center monitor and make you adjustment appropriately.
Proper FOV is essential for getting faster times. If you are adjusting only to see more of your dash it may look better, but you will be causing the track to appear skewed and this will effect your driving

you can use the app that has the drivers face and a cone of view to move you man arround the cocpit, but AC sets the FOV mathematically correct if you put your measurements into the app. This being said you could always use the app to give yourself a bigger fov by moving the central monitor selector forwards to wards the screen (ie artificially make the distance between you and the middle screen smaller)

If you are using triple monitors and use triple monitor mode, you can't adjust the FOV because it is calculated for you by inputting the correct measurements and data of your monitors into the triple screen app whilst on track (all apps are to the right screen, hover the mouse over them).

Simply input all your monitors data, horizontal screen width, physical bezel measurement, eye distance from centre screen and angle of the two end monitors- then the FOV and track scaling is correctly calculated for you.

After doing this, you can then ajdust the seat angle and position to get the cockpit lined up 1:1 scaled correctly with your physical steering wheel for added immersion.

Thanks for the replies all, I understand the advantages of having a correctly set FOV. I usually find the correct FOV, and then slightly adjust to a balance between that and allowing for some extra visual preference. With that said, iRacing's FOV calculator seems to place my view a closer to my preference vs Assetto's. Knowing this, I'll likely just play with my monitors closer to my face!. Knowing how the tool works, I'll move my monitors a bit closer and adjust the measurement from there.

Actually, I think I'll start planning out a driving cockpit, and get these triple monitors out of my office room. Every time someone sees them they make some joke about watching 3 porns at once.
