I would start by checking gearshift debounce setting (lower = faster). And then the assists.
Are you sure you used same car when testing both launchers? Which car was it. Becaue different sequential cars can shift at different speeds, and some have limitations of not allowing the R or even N to be selected before the car is stopped.
I'm sure it's a thing CM does. I did several tests today to confirm and i can downshift just fine when playing without CM. And no, i'm not trying any crazy shifting, like i said, even with the car really slow the game blocks me from reduce gears. But if i press the button several times
it starts to downshifting and i can even go to first gear when driving fast. It's weird, but it does look like a assist thing.
Does CM adds any extra assist to the game?
To be more specific, the CSP is that "dwrite.dll" file which on windows is loaded automatically by the system that thinks its a graphics driver, while internally its the whole patch. On linux this probably does not happen, so CM is required to load it.
Havent tried AC on linux yet, but likely your controller could be initiallized differently depending on launcher used as well. Which probably is the issue here.
ps: CM/CSP does not change shifting or assists in any way, at best there are some gamepad specific things added on top but thats for steering/throttle/brakes.
That would be very odd, definitely something linux related, you could try older CSP versions as well (say 1.66 or 1.7x). Possibly some other feature in CSP brakes and lags CPU/IO which then mess with shifting.
Ty for the help.
Now working 100% on linux with CSP (0.2.0), will try SOL later.
