Improvement from Quest2? I'm guessing the only real difference will be slightly better/sharper picture quality, but AC already looks pretty damn good with a Quest2 so not sure if it's worth a $500 upgrade if AC and sim racing is all you do in VR, like me.
VR is not close in replacing triples on the throne but for more immersive/casual use... :)
As for Quest 2 -> 3 heard the lenses are much better, better fov, better clarity... downside is more power consumption ... they are still usb/wifi for data transfer but probably better codecs because it looks better despite small uptake in resolution (that and lenses).
So i've heard that is, but be from a guy rocking 4090 which might cover some deficiencies...
