To make life easy, download content manager launcher, that way you can drag and drop 99.9% of mods in to it and then click on the top right menu and click install.

Only a handful of mods will require you to install manually, like SOL weather script for example, but for the most part you can just drag and drop in to CM.

If you prefer to do it manually, you simply download mods, unzip them and copy car mods in to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars

and track mods in to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\tracks

Pretty simple. But content manager is a must have mod anyway so you can just drag n drop
Learn to install mods without Content Manager. Installation via CM can work or it might not, judging by how AC forums are flooded with posts about it not working it seems quite often it doesn't, manual installation is 100% certain to work if you know what you are doing and takes seconds to do once you learn it. A mod track goes into content/tracks, car goes into content/cars, a car skin goes into content/cars/(car)/skins and so on. All you need to do is paste the folder into the correct subfolder, extremely quick and easy if you bother to take a moment to learn it. Some mods like Sol require manual installation, again very simple if you bother reading the instructions, only "difficulty" is by geniuses who don't bother to RTFM because they think they can install every mod by dragging and dropping to CM

Content Manager is a must have for stuff that isn't mod installation. CM is not a must for installing mods.
