I have gHub in the background, I did assign keys in the shifter, what is content manager?
https://assettocorsa.club/content-manager.html
it's a 3rd party launcher for AC and it's pretty amazing. Gives so many more options. Anyone who plays AC should be using CM imo. Download it now, put the file in your AC root directory and install it, it will automatically sync with your AC and steam, so you can just launch AC from it without having to boot up AC any more so it's faster.
Once it's installed, go to CM > settings > controls, and make sure control device is set to wheel, then assign all your controls from scratch, gas, brakes, clutch, gears, will take a couple minutes. Then make sure your gears and pedals are showing working in CM controls, then start a race (make sure it's a manual car) and try your gear shifter again.
Also make sure in you have "Use H-shifter" ticked too in CM > settings > controls > Buttons.
Another benefit of using CM is you can just drag and drop mods in to it to install them, super simple. Except for the odd mods that require manual installation like SOL.
