Try actually assigning the controls, as in click on the button for steering, then turn the wheel. Click the button for throttle, and press the gas, etc.

When I first started with Assetto Corsa, the settings menu recognized my G920 and responded to all my "button" presses. And it LOOKED like things were properly assigned with G920 buttons, but nothing was truly assigned, and nothing responded in-game. Assigned manually, problem solved.

Glad it worked!

For a little extra info: my Logitech brake pedal is really stiff, so it makes a big difference to drop its setting from 100% to 95%. I'm not sure what the setting's called, it's in the Controls Menu, but you can configure it to start "From: 0%" and go "To: 100%" - I changed the 100% to 95%.

It's also definitely worth it to look into what a .LUT file is for the wheel and configure it for Assetto Corsa.

Here's a Steam Guide:

But here's the guide I used when I stumbled across it:
https://www.briankoponen.com/assetto-corsa-logitech-g29-g920-settings/

In short terms: it helps the wheel's input be linear (and smoother) rather than have little bumps and inconsistencies when turning.

It's called deadzones, I did the exact same thing with my G29 brake pedal. Lowered it to 90% and it feels much better not having to push the pedal all the way to the floor which seems longer than it needs to be on the G29, maybe it's just me but 90% feels way better, especially for GT racing.
