SHH SHIFTER not working in Dirt Rally or Assetto Corsa

Well I finally found the fix.

This is so it saves people the time of trouble shooting.

After 3 hours of trouble shooting.

Even though the shifter is Plug and Play and this applies to any USB plug and play shifter that does not have any Drivers.

First:

click your windows search bar and type game controllers. Check if your shifter is identified then click Test in the window pop up and then shift your shifter. It should show if the shifter is working.

Finally, go to your steam > Settings > Controller > And then disable Steam input for generic controllers (for me I disabled everything that said "enable steam input...."

And that freaking fixed my problem.

Shifter works now in Dirty Rally, AC, ACC etc.

What an annoying issue. When inf act it was Steam all along...
