CSP CONTENT MANAGER SOL RAIN AND WEATHER FAIL

I've been on this all day, sure I'm missing something.
I have latest CM, latest Sol 2.2.9, Today I got the CSP preview to enable external rain.
Everything installed OK and is in place but I have never been able to use my weather bar on the drive menu, I'm aware this unlocks the weather options.
When I go to the game sol weather won't work and tells me sol 2.5 controller is not running.
The script option is not available in the current version of CM. I downgraded to an older version of CM where I enabled it and still had the same problem, I've tried different CSP versions as well and the weather only works on non preview versions.
I'm stuck any help is much appreciated

I feel your pain! The add-ons you mentioned, when they work, are wonderful. But when they don't, they're a misery. The install process is overly complicated for the casual user. I would hope that, in the near future, folks like Peter Boese and Ilya, will find a better, and less complicated, way to install their add-ons. But I wouldn't count on it, though. After all, if you're a code jockey, wouldn't you rather work on the fun stuff rather than something boring like a fool proof installation.

There's a new Assetto Corsa coming next spring. It's my hope that AC will absorb things like CSP, Sol and Pure into the game itself. We'll see..........
