Cant upload artwork even tho its only 5mb in size

I'm trying to upload a 4k resolution 5.12mb .png, however when i press upload to artwork it comes up with a message saying "cant upload files above 8bm" then the only option it gives me is to press OK and it doesn't upload it. Is there some resolution limit or something because its definitely below the 8mb limit.
