Is it worth to start modding the game ?

I played vanilla till now and i saw that this game has tons and tons of great mods from tracks to cars and skins and i want to ask if its worth to start modding? I heard that a lot of mods could cause the game to stop working properly or some cars will not have sounds.. And some advices for the best mods sites ? Currently i download them from racedepartment.com

All tracks, cars and apps mods works as "standalone", meaning they ADD stuff to the game without changing the vanilla content.

Racedepartment is a reliable and safe mod source, so you should be good downloading there, that's where I get my mods from as well.

Worse thing that can happen, the track/car won't work (mainly with really really new mods or really really old ones which haven't been updated) but all the stuff that did work will keep on working, the risk is minimum (and you can always just delete the mod).

Even skins for vanilla cars "add" rather than "replace", so if you don't like something you can just delete.

The only thing you may want to be careful about is WHERE you install the mods, most of them are just "drag and drop" into the main folder, but some require you to know where to install the mod (if it's a skin, you may need to put it in the proper skins folder of the right car).

With that said, mods are probably the best part about this game, there are some extremely high quality ones which can really keep up with the official content.

Fun fact: the Corvette C7R you see in game was originally developed as a mod by URD (United Racing Design), it was so good Kunos basically bought it and updated it but changing very little.

What is wrong with you ? This game is a piece of art and i started to enjoy it more and more.I dont play multiplayer too much so the single player modes are good enough to keep me playing

Go for it. Race Department is a great source for mods. I've downloaded and tried hundreds of mods without issue.

You won't break the game itself by installing mods but game updates sometimes make fundamental changes that effect older mods that haven't been updated. In most cases you just need to simply delete the mod folder or find a fix for the issue by downloading a small sound fix, for example.

Race Department lets your sort mods by user ratings and most downloads, so the first page or two of each catergory should give you good examples of the mods available. The more recently they were updated, the less likely you'll have any issues too.

Mods add alot to the base content, and can be quite comparable in quality on occasion.

Maybe he is banned from these servers because of wrecking and now he is angry not able to play online (using a gamepad). ehh
