Saitek r440 Wheel problems
I got the game today, but it returns to the menu, when I load a race.
The problem seems to be related to my wheel because with keyboard everything works. If I assign everything but the steering of the wheel, I can even use the pedals of the wheel. Just with the steering it goes straight back to the menu.
On project cars the wheel works perfectly, including FFB, so the drivers should be ok, even if they are a few years old, since there are no newer ones.
Does anyone have the same problem or have some solution for this?

you need to set ur steering wheel up in the setting in game and make sure ur steering wheel is up todate with drivers

In settings you can calibrate your wheel. It is an option up at the top in that section. If it works going through the calibration but not in-game then I don't know what is going on for you.

I tried calibrating and it works fine, but it does not solve the problem and the game still goes back to the menu after loading
It could be something with the FFB, since that would be the only thing that is not calibrated

If the game is going back to the menu before loading it may not be your wheel...check that the screen resolution you have set in the game menu matches your desktop resolution...have you installed any mods etc etc ...AC can be a bit finicky sometimes if there is a setting that is wrong.
I have never heard of the game not loading due to a wheel problem to be honest.
Good luck.

Screen resolution is ok. It actually works, if I force 32bit, but I can't use my controller in that case. But I am on a 64bit system so that should not be the solution anyway.
I have seen other threads with people running this wheel with assetto corsa, so it should be possible

Another suggestion....have you tried installing all the things in the _CommonRedist folder in your Assetto game folder...just an idea but its worth trying i guess.

Yes did that also already
I also got the newest python installed
But no change whatsoever

ok...another idea...have you got anything like facetrack or opentrack installed...they can sometimes conflict with controllers...if so try uninstalling those...I'm just stabbing in the dark here lol trying to help.

Nope never heard of those, but thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.
I also posted in the official forum, hopefully, I will get an answer there tomorrow,I can also post that answer here, in case it works

It works now in 32bit mode, when I tried it I did not reinitialise the drivers of the wheel, which crashed everytime I tried to load. So if you have the same problem force 32bit and then restart the computer and restart the game
