My console friend asked this and said only way he would buy is with local multiplayer as he mainly games when mates are round. I don't think they plan on adding it.
So, i would like a racing sim with splitscreen. If this game have no splitscreen i will not buy it.
You maybe don't know but AC requires a lot of grunt. The hardware required to run it on splitscreen would be too much for the regular user. Whatever you own couldn't even run it on splitscreen, slow systems already struggle and people have to run with lower amount of AI cars.
It isn't about `wanting` to add in such a feature. Its about the game being a racing simulator and not an arcade game with split-screen. The developers have no intention in making it split-screen, if thats at all possible, sorry but the devs didn't make AC to appeal to that kind of player.
AC already uses a tonne of resources, making it split-screen doesn't add anything to AC given that noone really expects a racing sim which can be played via remote servers with as many as 26 people on a track, to have `splt-screen` or `co-op`. Its a racing sim, its not a co-operative game and wouldn't benefit from it at all.
hmmm... nope... those are not simulators.
You will get the same kind of answer on all the forums you've asked this question... this is more a simulation software than a racing game. (Assetto Corsa, Automobilista, rFactor... etc.)
I don't need that game
Oh... don't get me wrong.... I like split screen! GT5 on my PS3, NFS, GRID (if I'm not mistaken).
Nope, splitscreen for a sim like this would prove to be utterly useless, I am afraid. Of the impractical variety, that is.
Not gonna tell you you're wrong in wanting it for many other types of games, though. Please understand that similarities to other more casual racing-games end when you look only an hair closer than the shiny piece of virtual metal that is drawn on the screen.

I would like it and i would use it => it would not be useless => you're wrong.
Sorry, but that is the point. You just don't know what is possible and because of that you dislike it.
