In the real world dozens upon dozens of things affect tyre grip, temp, tyre wear, tyre type, camber, etc etc etc.
The wheelspin in AC is not excessive in anyway shape or form IMO or the opinion of the physics tester, Aris because if it where excessive as you and your `freinds` put it, it would be an issue for Aris and it clearly isn't.
TL:DR Skill and throttle control avoids `excessive wheelspin` on cars without TC.
Cold tyres won't have much grip.
Thanks, I do and it does help.
My Vega with a 300 hp V8 Chey small block with more then 300 foot pounds torque couldn't burn 13 inch all seasons tires on a dusty road with an open case diff. half as much as the Lotus 217 hp with half the torque and semislicks can. My Vegs feels more in line with the 32 hp 595. And I know my Vega would scare the crap out of any of you boys. I only have real life skills.
I have noticed the traction has gotten much more realistic from 2014. I like low grip for the most part and I love AC.
Yup, there must be something wrong considering I could burn through 1st and second and partial 3rd in my 1994 BMW 525i that had 208bhp and 205lbs torque and big heavy 18" split rim alloy wheels- so I'm not sure what he is trying to get at because any car can burn the tyres from launch, if you're doing it in a 30hp FWD car, through to second his launching must be horrid.
Road surfaces can make a big difference as well. When I was in Florida I notice they use crushed coral for gravel.
