If your technically minded, an Arduino proMicro clone (£3) allows a switch to act as a keyboard input on a PC/Mac. So when the handbrake switch is on, it sends KeyDown='H', when it's off, sends KeyUp='H' (more or less, simplified here obviously, but it not too difficult)

About a day of learning if you've never done arduino before, otherwise about 1hr.

i used a ps3 controler, and some wood. assigned the right thumb stick to handbrake (emulating xbox 360 controler in motionjoy) and then the wood bar presses onto a piece of sponge ish thing that pushes on the thumb stick (sponge to makes it feel harder and harder the more you pull on it since the thumbstick travel is very short the sponge compensates if that makes sense)

it's ghetto but it works for now. Could buy a usb numpad and assign one of those keys, or buy a cheap flight stick. You can adjust handbrake pressure level with controler and stick, not with button so that's up to you.

I use a joystick for handbrake

Assign a button on your wheel as handbrake. It makes no difference how many fancy contraptions you build, if it only sends on/off signals anyway.

you can't even imagine how much of a pain in the a** it is to pull the handbrake whille drifintg and having the wheel flying from right to left. Just saying.

I have an old joystick bolted to the side of my chair. It also has guide rails and stops to only allow upward movement.
I added a counter spring to give resistance and fast return on the lever.

I replaced the erganomic handle with a length of alu tubing and finished it with a actual Triumph TR7 handbrake grip.

Looks great and works beautifuly ;)

I bought this product here which I believe was a very solid purchase. I've had a lot of fun using this handbrake.

dont really want to spend 425 on a handbrake. Thats even more than what i spent on my g920.

Bought this: http://www.geniusnet.com/Genius/wSite/ct?xItem=16792&ctNode=164

Mapped it and changed the handle bar, perfect handbrake with adjustable pressure.
