Report a translation problem
The throttle response is different for each car, so I assume that the sensitivity is different for each car, because its certainly different for me.
Take the GT86 and then get in the Ferrari 458- totally different throttle responses and sensitivities.
For example drove the mclaren mp4-12c road car at silverstone international and had about 5cm of throttle travel, from no throttle, until the car span its rear wheels like I was on full throttle regardless of if I was on stone cold turns or tires that had been warmed after a couple of laps.
I get this same feeling with every road car I drive from the fiats to the bmws and ktms where I can only use the first couple of centimeters of pedal travel if I want to avoid the wheels spinning.
My wheel is a G25 and I drive without TC or ABS. I know I am not the best driver, and probably have a bit of a heavy foot but would like to be able to drive comfortably as right now my foot has to float over the pedal and can't even rest on the foot rest to make sure I don't press too hard.
I did state I get the same problem with all the road cars I drive from the fiat, BMW m3 e30, ktm x bow and lotus elise. Wouldn't classify any of those cars as high powered, most powerful one of them is around 200bhp. I think that keeps this story going :P. In addition it doesn't change the fact that the game seems to lack a very important option which is the ability to alter throttle sensitivity. Having looked online on other forums it seems alot of people are finding the throttle and the brakes overly sensitive in a variety of cars.
What affect is this meant to have, just so I know what to look out for, thanks
It means what I explained previously. You can move the start and finish points of the throttle slider in AC controls. If you think that there is too much throttle at the start of the pedal press, just simply move the start of the slider up until you get it feeling like you're not over-throttling.
I imagine this is either a hardware thing or a personal preference as I don't find the throttle over-sensitive at all and I use Fanatec Elite V2 pedals and the BMW-e30 road car is one of my favourite drives and I don't have an issue with throttle sensitivity nor have I ever heard of any issue with throttle sensitivity from anyone.
Its probably either a case of your throttle pedal not having a lot of linear travel or you just have a too heavy right foot.
Wasn't sure about those sliders, thought they were deadzone adjustments so will give them a go before going and having a play with calibration.
Pretty sure it is a personal preference from what I have read. Other people with g25/g27 pedals don't seem to have an issue at all.
This person from the sounds of it has a high end set of pedals and still suffers from over sensitive brakes

Adjusted the calibration values and it seems to have done the trick. Brake and pedal feel alot less sensitive now so I can better modulate them both when cornering. Thanks for the tip, 40 seems to be a good starting value will fine tune from there to find my perfect fit.
It does seem that this does the same job as what sensitivity adjustment does in GTR2 which raises the question, why does GTR2 (a 10yr old game) have this feature but a modern sim like AC doesn't, especially when all it's competition like Rfactor 2, project cars and Iracing does?
My initial assumption was right and this is merely deadzone adjustment. Doesn't really alleviate the problem, I simply lost measured travel range which made things worse for me.
Fiat's are high powered???
