Race Leaderboard Ticker - How to get rid?

How do I disable the annoying race position/leaderboard ticker across the bottom the screen? Disabling the HUD Apps does not remove it, nor does CTRL-H.

Same can be said for the "damage" pop-up: I don't need it and I don't want it. How can it be removed?

If you don't to use the bottom bar style learderboard in a race, you can use the new leaderboard app from the app list, which is a table styled leaderboard (with dev apps enabled).

So far no, only with mouse. But a button on the controller/keyboard (even wheel buttons) would be useful for individual apps and different states of an app.

Thanks for this - just as an FYI to anyone as dumb as me, my F9 key alone didn't work, had to also press FN key - don't usually need to do this but obviously do in this case.
