Can't drive??

So I've been trying to just get my car to move and start driving but can't. It just sits there. I've tried pressing every button on my pad and keyboard just to make something happen, but my driver just sits there like he suddenly fell into a coma at the wheel and doesn't respond to anything. Has anyone else had this problem/know how to fix it?

Also, since I'm using a pretty low-spec rig, I've had to turn down most of the graphics settings. Is there a way to keep those graphics low, but make the text in-game (while driving a lap) or whatever sharper? Because the text seems to get blurry. No big deal if there isn't.

Did you just plug the controller in hoping it would work or did you actually try to config it?

It's already configured. I've used it on other games.

Also, let my clarify the "can't drive" part. I start a drive in hotlap, practice, whatever, and my car just sits in the pits and I can't drive on to the track using any input, pad or otherwise.

It's probably still set to keyboard. It's always a good idea to know those controls just in case so you can figure out if it's set to keyboard or controller/wheel.

I meant configured/selected in this game. Without doing that a controller wont work i think (but without changing anything, your keyboard should work with the arrow keys iirc).

Controller is selected instead of keyboard in the input, and it does see my pad (in the bottom left of Blackie Chan's picture there would be a little thing telling me it sees my controller and responds to my button pushes), but for some reason that config may be not right. I can't change the binds. For instance, if I didn't want accelerate to be right trigger, too bad. Maybe this is related?

Try setting it up as a custom wheel, make sure the red bars at the bottom left of the screen move when you move a certain axis and then map what you want to where you want.

I'm setting it up as a custom wheel, and there is progress. I move! But for some reason, this game just refuses to recognize the bumpers and triggers. Hm

When I set my pad up as a custom wheel I can only use L2 and R2 as an axis (Say clutch) and have to use L1 and R1 buttons for gear up and down. It would be nice if they could allow axis to be used as buttons etc like you can in most other titles.

I might have a play later on and see if I can change some settings in Motioninjoy, I use a PS3 pad and emulate it as a 360 pad.

I have the same exact issue I can play online but the second i get into practice mode it wont let me move anywhere i just sit in pit idk what to do

After installing Content Manager this is no longer an issue for me.

It have something to do with the configuration. I don't understand why it's happening, but I think, the problem could be that I selected "keyboard input simultaneously"(or how ever the checkbox is named) down in "advanced". I separated the game-pad, reset the control-configuration and selected the keyboard. After a restart the game worked fine and the game-pad also could be configured again.
