Cars fishtail and spin out WAY too easily
The way these cars lose traction, fishtail and then spin out wildly is far exaggerated from how it happens in real life If you dare to even slightly break traction around a corner you WILL spin out. Cars do not act like this. It is possible to slide them around corners without them snapping back in the other direction

Please fix this.

I spent to much time on this thread

If you have the power and know how to use it, then yes, you can maintain a slide into a corner. Even save yourself from other situations in RL that I wouldn't recommend lol. However, if you have a lot of speed on the weight, then it will be a different story because you have the law of physics against you.

Yeah. That's the issue with AC. I am aware that i dont play in optimal conditions, but again, LFS is the most easy comparition. in AC even with a Miata at low speeds it feels like if the car just *snaps* into oversteering like if it was a drift car, instead of first the tires trying to regain grip by themselves.

I'm just curious as to if you have ever driven a high powered rear drive car in anger?

I actually think there's too much understeer rather than oversteer in AC, it isn't perfect for sure but it is easily the most realistic title I have ever played physics wise.

The car handling is going to get tweaked as time goes on anyway, Kunos have confirmed that.
rfactor 2 has better driving physics. easy to feel.

track conditions play a big part

Oh look, rFactor 2 gets shoe horned into a conversation about Assetto Corsa, yet again.

Of course it does. Its another simulator.

I own several Miata's and have to say the AC one is pretty accurate.
A standard Miata is pretty tricky on the limit because of how the suspension compresses into the bumpstops.
The way it can just spin out just like that is because the springs are very soft, but the bumpstops are very hard, so theres a huge bump in springrate once the suspension compresses fully.

I suggest you try the Escort RS 1600, if you can't manage to slide that around a track, it's got to be something wrong with your game setup.

I didn't find out I had input lag until I drove a formula car out of frustration and noticed it didn't instantly react to steering inputs.

another year ago necro bump to complain about oversteer with zero feedback warning. It does seem to be much better with certain cars (someone mentioned the classic escort, good example, can really feel all over the limits) but with some cars there is -0- feedback for oversteer.
