Hey guys, does anyone know what I have to change so I won't slide so much when accelerating out of a corner?

yea i know, you change how hard you press the accelerator. that will fix the problem.

what he said

or you could turn traction control on or up more if you're unable to regulate the amount of gas you give it

More dicipline, more skill, warm tyres better, change track type to optimum, lower tyre pressures and practice practice practice.

to not frustrate a potential good player in the making by talking ♥♥♥♥, i tell you this;

you can try fix your problem with setup, but when you do this your car turn to ♥♥♥♥. a unstable car is allways fast and hard to drive, and stable car slow and easy to drive. to go fast you wana be reasonable unstable cause if not it wont turn.

i guess you best fix your prob by not just flooring the gas.

EDIT. you could like give 1 or 2 less ticks tire pressure in rear, or make rear slow bump and rebound -1 tick. if you do to much of this you find you just plow straight out of turns.
alternate make oposite in front, +pressure +bump.

Thanks for your answer man, I'll try to change my driving style a bit. If you've ever driven GT2 on Spa, what's your fastest time?

i only drive non abs cars, like lotus 25, 49(my favourite), shelby cobra, F40 ... stuff like that. thats what i enjoy the most.
i drive the GT cars for like 1 hour maybe, so i cant give you any meaningfull reference there sorry man.

There are some good guides out there for car setup configuration. What works for person A will not necessairly work for person B and C - it depeneds on how you drive. Take ActionJackon's advise and also lookup the guides to see what else you may want to try tweaking. Once you get into tweaking the settings it can become one of the better aspects of a good sim like AC.

when i started sim racing on GTL(iam by far no pro now!), i came into servers, everyone was faster than me. i spin out a lot but cant be me after all iam rly good in need for speed, must be setup. so i go to setup. some try and error and i find front anti roll bar.
so much wow car super stable now, just 2 more ticks, i gona go get them. so i thought.

now i push out of every corner, while everyone else just make it in same car same speed. i am puzzled, i kinda leave the server frustrated.
only later i found it the problem was i sucked. thanks all this is long gone and i have a general idea what i do in a sim now :P

maybe someone can identifie with this or made similar expirience, i can tell you it get better with more hours played. maybe drive different car, get some distance and than come back try push where it wasnt possible before.

when i was pushing behind ppl which seemed rather inexperienced online, their biggest problem didn't seem to be the timing of flooring the pedal but rather the ideal line they were driving. The timing was correct, but the position in the corner and heading was way off, hence spinouts & other kinds of fails ... so I'd say give this a thought too when you have an issue with a particular corner

Well, it's not like I don't have the feeling or anything, i'm pretty fast at Project Cars. But I need some more practice at Assetto Corsa I think. And my positioning is fine I believe (at least I hope so). I think it was just the setup I was using because I tried a different setup and it was way less slippery

EDIT- I found an old video I once made, and it seems like I was braking a lot later, especially when coming out of kemmel straight (into les combes) and at the chicane. But I don't know what exactly was different

I'm sure you got better in the meantime, but see often in the video that you're turning in too early, not going wide enough on entry and too often accelerating / breaking mid corner. Try to improve your flow, softly break until the apex, accelerating after it. The corner is splint into two parts, first one, where you only supposed to break and use as much speed as possible and only accelerate after you are behind the apex, without interrupting it with breaking after apex. These are the crucial parts where cars were at times gaining on you.

And hey, I'm not saying you wouldn't beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of me on track nor that I'm not making any errors, just sayin what you should look at from my perspective ;)

Yeah, now I look at it, I noticed at Les combes and Rivage (the left corner) that i'm turning in way too early to get a good corner. Do you ever drive the GT2 cars? And if you are, would you like to practice with me some time?

What lap times do you set at Spa?

and one extra remark, I think you are supposed to shift when your wheel is blinking, not when you see it on the ingame app, you can push out a few km/h out of it on a straight this way ;)

I was just riding Spa yesterday with a friend, but on PS4 & on a controller, with the Ferrari 458 GT2 ;) I was driving around 2:22 & 2:23 at the end of the race, with the default setup and 30L of fuel on board, but would check on PC when I get the chance since I was actually fiddling with my setup there a lot ;) and sure, I'd love to practice, but am always a bit short on time so am playing mostly around midnight CEST on weekends ;)
