Need help with VR settings
Can anyone help me with my asseto corsa vr settings?, I see people getting 90fps and I've tried multiple peoples settings but get like 30 or 40fps, Using quest 2 on virtual desktop with a rtx 3060ti, 16gb ram, amd ryzen 7 3700x, I just want around 60 fps with some good graphics

Use Oculus link or air link instead of VD, I notice better and smoother performance with just using Oculus link. No need for VD or Steam VR.

Set Oculus PC app resolution to around 1.4x, then within Content manager > video settings, set "pixels per display" to around 1.3x. This will get you a considerably sharper VR image.

My hardware is slightly more powerful than yours and I still see my fps capped to 45fps on some servers with lots of cars, even though game runs smooth. If I play offline solo, I notice it jumps up to 90fps cap.

First of all DO NOT play AC wireless. It always lags and misses frames. Then, I believe that you launch the game in Oculus Rift mode and not Steam VR.

As my specs are quite close to yours (Ryzen 5 5600, 3060ti & 16gb RAM), after several tests in a span of 2 months with some guys from Race Department that "specialize" in VR, I can tell you that you will not be able to get 90 fps & having a good or acceptable image. You could get close to 90fps but with an awful image. So, it depends on what you want to achieve, either higher fps with an awful image, or lower fps with a very good image.
My goal was to have a good image without most of the shimmering & jaggies & running above 60fps to avoid the stuttering while turning, which I succeeded.

So, after testing one by one CSP setting, I managed to be on 72hz & having 65-70fps with no cars in grid, just driving alone. And this with a clear weather. If you put clouds or rain the fps gets hammered to half or even lower. Also the pp filter you use plays a major role in the fps. I ended up using wither Lights with Pure or Sol Extra (both are quite light for VR).

What Fret suggests (the pixel supersampling) is extremely heavy for our setup, you will have better image as he suggests, but your fps will be 45 or lower.

So, the best you can do is to leave the Oculus app to 72hz (there is no visible difference @ 90hz anyway), & the resolution to 1 click before max. Then you have to experiment with all the CSP settings (set to off most of them) to get these fps.

Unfortunately all racing titles in VR are power hungry (where normal games aren't, I played Half life Alyx with a 1060 & very good graphics), so don't believe guys about having "easy" 90fps, with a card lower than an RTX3080.

If you want to save time (I got tired testing the last weeks all these!), I could post tomorrow my current full settings (nvidia panel, oculus & CSP) to try them, at Race Department

Hello, I know this is a bit late but could you send me the links to your csp and ac video settings? also ty I realised that using VD is my biggest problem so I'll probably be buying a link cable
