My controller works fine in e.g. Project Cars, but no FF in AC.
Well, x360default settings are working for my system too.
But I simply can't play with these controller settings (left tumb for steering... etc).
Therefore I set up a configuration by my own. Which works fine (almost very fine). Except FF, which simply does nothing at all.
Anyhow, thank you for hint.
I'm not talking about triggers. I'm talking about the "standard" force feedback.
FF works if I chose x360default settings.
But if I'm setting up AC to use my controller as a more generic one... no FF at all.
Are you using x360default settings or indiviual one?
If individual one, would you mind to share config file with me? So I could try to use it.
Thanks!
if you set it up in a custom way as a wheel under controls, the FF will never work. You need to be under the controller tab, which has the downside of forcing you to use that left thumbstick as steering
That explains a lot.
Too bad.
So either I am unable to steer in a way I am used to or I can't enjoy force feedback :-(
Are all extra buttons on the controller mappable in assetto corsa??
Like assigning gear shifts to the 4 new flippers underneath the controller?? How does it feel?
I'm considering getting the x1 elite controller. I have a standard x1 at the moment.
Do you think it is worth getting??
The only catch is I have to use an external program, x360ce, which allows you to trick the game into thinking the right stick is the left stick, so to speak. So for the longest time I had been using it to have that lovely right-stick steering but that also deactivated the vibrations. Turns out there was an additional option I had not checked and BOOM, now it works flawlessly! Let me know if you're still playing and interested.
Hello how are you doing? I have this same problem, I have my active corsa on my pc, an xbox xs joystick, and I want to configure the right lever to accelerate/brake, and rt as a clutch, but keeping the FF and I can't. I know x360ce, but I'm not sure how to set it up, could you please tell me how you did it?
First of all, keep in mind it worked for me using an XBox 360 gamepad. So I have no idea if it will work with yours, I haven't tried.
Then if I remember correctly (it's been 2 years...), the trick was to go to the "Advanced" tab of x360ce for your controller and check (or uncheck, I can't remember the default state) the "Pass Through" option. Once I checked/unchecked, the vibrations were working properly at the same time as the remap for the right thumb stick.
But another problem I remember having was extremely weird: I have the .exe file for x360ce in the same folder as the .exe file for Assetto Corsa and the rest of the game files, but x360ce didn't even want to start to allow me to change its options when I double-clicked it from that location. And I found out the only way to work around it was to leave x360ce there but move ALL the Assetto Corsa files to another temporary folder. Only then would x360ce start, so you could change the options, save, quit, and move the Assetto Corsa files back where they belong. Yeah that sounds dumb but I don't think any other solution (including launching x360ce from somewhere else to change the options and only then copy it to the Assetto Corsa folder) worked... ^^'
So good luck!
