Took a lengthy hiatus, trying to get CM CSP, SoL and Rain FX going

Hey all,

So I was really big into AC mostly during pandemic and dropped it early 2021. I decided to comeback to it today and made a donation on Patreon to get access to the 'preview' patch so I could have real weather/rain fx with Sol.

Iirc I was playing CSP 1.73'ish with Sol 2.1. Appears both have been updated since. Do I need to do a fresh re-install to get access to the 'preview' patch? I got my key off Patreon but totally forgot where I need to put it. I am right now making backups of my cars/tracks. I have like 40 minutes to go until am finished as I have over 150gb to move around.. lol I collected a bunch over the years and don't want to lose them.

So yeah, is fresh re-install the best way? I already know base game Assetto Corsa is busted. I tried to run it prior to patreon upgrade and it is stuck at 100% loading. Not sure what would cause that but yeah. Am leaning towards just backing up my tracks/cars and deleting everything, then re-installing AC, then downloading CM/SOL 2.X? Or am I going over-kill? I just want to get back into the action and enjoying the sweet weather gfx again ha Kind of overwhelmed atm though. Kick myself in the butt for letting everything go out of date xD

Just wanted to update I was able to solve my issues :D I did a fresh re-install of AC, new install of CM, then the 1.78 preview patch from Patreon and lastly SOL 2.2.2 and all is working. Found out I didn't have to backup my cars/tracks either so that's weird. Would think they would of been deleted when I uninstalled AC but when I booted everything back up they were all there. So yeah, am in good shape. Just looking at what new mods to download, tracks/cars, ect. since I've been absent. Take it easy and happy racing!
