AI in Track Day not leaving the pits

Hello guys. Any fix for the above ?

i tried a kunos map (barcelona) and a mod map on both same result. However on race they race as usual, they just dont move at all on track day very weird ;/

I *think* that some tracks don't support the AI lines for trackday. I am not sure that was a concept in this game by default. I'm a bit of a noob, so I may not know all the details, but I think this may be correct.

When I load a default map, trackday doesn't work. When I load LA Canyons, or SRP, trackdays work fine. I recall specifically getting those maps for trackday... So you may have to find another map.

Thank you bro for your help !!! Indeed even some Kunos maps dont support AI on track day (barcelona) . I had another Barcelona skin/extension that had an Ai.ini file and it worked !!! Now i know which map will suppory track day.

Track day is essentially 'practice' mode of a weekend session so any track with an ai line and pit line will support ai on track day mode. I just checked Barcelona (Kunos) and it worked perfectly fine for me, all ai drivers left the pits.

its very weird because i dont have ai.ini file for Barcelona (kunos). however i had a skin/ extension from racedepartment for barcelona circuit and it has ai.ini file. i think its just a bug or by mistake i deleted it...at least now i know what was the issue.

Not ai.ini, go into your Barcelona track folder, open either 'layout_gp' or 'layout_moto', open the ai folder and in there you will find fast_line.ai and pit_line.ai.

yes i have both of them, when i open them its chinese or random words. the ai since this morning is not leaving the pits anymore XD yesterday evening it was working. i noticed that the cars are empty with no driver inside... dont know what to do.

They are not files you can read as such, they are data files the game generates when ai lines are created (one for the lap, one for pit entry and exit). They appear as random text if you open them with notepad etc.

However if you want to check that all is right do the following. Go to your steam library, right click on Assetto Corsa, select properties, select Local Files, select 'verify integrity of game files'. This will replace any missing or damaged original Assetto files. It will not remove any mods you have added to the game, but it will delete any sound mods you have added to original Kunos content.

Thank you for your instant replies man. I verified file integrity of the game and all is good.
I have the paid CSP version for the rain, i uninstalled it and reinstalled the public version i think it's 0.1.77 and now it's working, i tried many maps with many official and modded cars and it's working great.

It's a CSP preview bug mainly, let me know if u have the paid csp version and if the ai is working on track day mode. Thank you again.

Great glad to hear you have it sorted. I just tried it on 1.78p1 and can confirm it still worked for me on the latest version (1.78p45 is with a select few testers currently but not on his patreon). 1.77 is essentially 1.78p1 without the rainfx module, so strange how it wasn't working for you. Maybe try reinstalling it.
