Is this game playable with Controller?

I wanted to ask if assetto corsa is playable with Controller. Dont want to buy a wheel to broke

This guy's settings are pretty decent to get you started. If you are unhappy you can always tweak them. When I'm not using my wheel, I bust out the controller sometimes and it's certainly playable but it's obviously no Gran Turismo or especially Forza Motorsport/Horizon on controller. Otherwise, controller is fine if that is the route you want to go.

Definitely playable yes, but it won't be as easy as playing an arcadey game like forza or NFS on controller. You'll have to tinker with the settings to find what works for you but yes it is definitely playable. I've seen people drifting with a mouse. So it's all possible.

yes it's playable, but don't let anyone tell you it can ever be as good as a wheel, it's not and i should know....

I doubt anyone in the history of Assetto Corsa has ever said it's better on a controller than a wheel lol

Its funny, For Flight Sims i wouldn't think about using anything other than my HOTAS. But, I have been playing racing games/sims for so long with a XBox One controller that AC felt natural after only slight tweaking. Make sure to read up on configuring the Controller, there is a lot of info out there. I actually prefer the controller, I had a logitech wheel,but it gathered dust until i gave it away. I only race against AI and i dont use FFB at all, I turned it off, if i wanted a vibrator, i'd buy one. That Said,It really depends on what you are aiming for, For hardcore or online racing, get a wheel.However to Enjoy the Sim all you really need is a decent controller. I have and highly recommend the Donation-ware Content Manager and the Custom Shaders Patch and tons of Mod Cars and Tracks. The CM and CSP enable Night, Rain and tons of other options! I usually run the A.I. anywhere from 75% on tracks i'm still learning, All the way to a 3rd Place Le Mans finish against 95% A.I. I'm having a Blast, Almost any car you can think of is available online and the vintage tracks and cars are incredible. If you can play other race games with a controller, You can do just fine with Assetto Corsa.
