Not even my RTX 2060 can deliver stable framerate...
I'm having an issue where my computer is using the most of my GPU to render graphics in Assetto Corsa, yet I still can't maintain a stable 60 fps at 1080p, and I stagger at around 45-55. My regular graphics settings are only at low reflection and shadow quality (256^2 reflections, 1024^2 shadows).

After doing some experiments with a 20-car grid, I learned that Assetto puts more strain on my card when there are more unique cars, rather than all cars being the exact same model.

I've used CSP to lower the level of detail and applied plenty of GPU-related optimisations, but not much is changing. Is there a reasonable fix behind this? It's still relatively new and I'm not looking to upgrade it right now.

What CPU? RAM? I usually run VR but when I run single screen with my 2080/i7-9700k/32gb ram system I get over 250fps with almost everything set to high or max settings. AC is hard on CPU’s rather than GPU’s especially when running multi car grids

Hi, i had really change many settings in CM and had problems with custom shader packs. But finally I've got it running pretty well. Check this video out

PS i dont even have RTX on my card

To say it was made in 2014 Assetto Corsa can achieve fantastic results

If it wasn't for the low quality textures used for the helmet & the drivers legs, one would think this video was real footage.

what does the vanilla benchmark say about your hardware performance?

CSP settings?

I've been playing Assetto Corsa with 60fps+ since the days I was running a GTX670, something funky must be going on with your settings, either in Nvidia control panel or in game, you should be able to run AC at 4k no bother.

Well, what's your CPU? I noticed I can play at 60 fps no sweat in multiplayer...

Oh just to add, the reason you see more demand with unique cars on the track compared to multiple of the same one is that AC only has to load one 3D model as such, whereas with a range of unique cars it had to load all the 3D models.

But I do agree with Bigbazz, something is funky with your settings. Before I had my current system I was using a gaming laptop with a lowly GTX860M/i5 system and it performed well holding 60fps with grids in the low 20’s.

Could you provide a solution then?
onearmedbandit Jan 18, 2022 @ 3:00pm
You’re 100% that AC is using your dedicated GPU and not onboard graphics?
Kibōchen Jan 18, 2022 @ 3:02pm
Yes, integrated GPU is disabled.
But also,

Have you run the in game benchmark? If so what did that return?
