this slight increase will not make you a better drifter. and if you have set the things properly, you probably already have the effect of your 1040.
it's just i want to drive with it not to impove or anything just for fun, but is it difficult to do something like that?
If it's just for using more of the physical steering wheel while having same max lock on the wheels then no it's not too hard. Unpack (if it's packed) the data file (you can find the tutorials on the net) and in car.ini change up STEER_LOCK and STEER_RATIO by same percentage. You wont be able to drive it online thou.
Now im running logitech wheel, so idk, but there should be a way to make the game think it's 900 degrees while your wheel ran with 1080 somewhere in driver. The virtual and real wheels would not be synced but it should work. You'd have to experiment a bit with settings both in game and wheel driver.
I've learned to drive with small desync (used 800 deg range on G27 before CM was even a thing) so fixing it now would feel weird :).
about the real to virtual wheel sync, the option for the virtual wheel is at the bottom of the "Options | Video | View".
its not supposed to make a difference. its just a visual thing that synchronizes the movement of both wheels. mine goes to 450. if yours goes to 540, that makes a total rotation of 1080 degrees. 540 clockwise and 540 anticlockwise from center position. that seems to fit your wheel.
