I have a feeling it probably has something to do with the VR side of things because I see the problem in my Quest2 headset, but if I peek at my monitor at the very same moment, it's showing the game just fine on my flat screen, so it's only a VR thing. It's just odd that it only happens to the E30 drift and the 458 GT2, two of my most liked and used cars! lol

Claims of it affecting all VR users, but I just tried both cars again in VR with both public and patreon versions of CSP and neither car had an issue. User Gevatter's suggestion of deleting the config is worthy of investigating.
It's not a deal breaker for me since I have another little incentive to play with PP off anyway. Whenever I play in VR with PP off, I get up to 120fps on my QUest2 wirelessly, which is pretty amazing. Then whenever I turn PP on, the game seems to be locked to 60FPS. I know this exact reduction by 50% isn't due to the PP effects like some filters and different lighting. There would be varience, not a direct drop from 120 to 60. I can't see anything in the settings that would limit the game to 60fps with PP on, Vsync and frame limit options are all off, and if I click on the "!" to the right of PP options in CM, it does a quick calculation and tells me that PP will reduce AC performance by around 0.53%, another indicator that the 120fps>60fps drop seems odd.
Anyway, that in conjunction with the weird floating wipers on two of my most used cars just means PP is a feature saved just for screenshotting unfortunately. Hopefully a future update can fix these issues
There are ways of helping that situation out, reflections and shadows are two of the biggest consumers of gpu power. For example with recent versions of CSP you only need to run a render rate of two faces per frame for reflections instead of previously running 5-6. This will lower the load on your gpu for no visual loss.
Believe it or not, that's the MAIN reason why I want to even use PP lol. I don't really care about the different variations of lighting and effects that we get from using PP filters, it's mainly because the dashboard and exterior lights of cars appear so dim without PP, almost to the point where I can't tell if the car lights are on or off in some models.
But alas, the wiper issue alone will keep be away from PP for the time being. Dim car lights is something I'll just have to deal with until I can find a fix to this. I'll take dim lights over those crazy floating wipers which just throw me out of the immersion of the game.

We’ve been doing some more investigating into this issue. Can you tell me what gfx card you are using please?
