Assetto Corsa Settings with CSP 1.76 and Sol 2.21
This gives me a wonderful experience! Smooth and clear day or night. Works well with mod maps too...many I have tried. Static weather. 10 min. key pages, 1280x720 pause as needed.
System Specs
Laptop HP Omen 4ghz
16g ram
1660Ti 6gig
Solid state hdd's
Fanatec CSL dd and v 3 peddles
42" Vizio tv @ 1920x1080 connected via hdmi. ( If I could get a 144hz monitor 42" reasonable I would get it, but other equipment more important ).
TR8 Cockpit.

Additional Notes and Info:

The whole reason for the post is in case I have to redo my system in the event of a crash or something I have this to fall back on, but if it can help you, well that's all good.
And if you have a question don't hesitate to ask. I spent about a week and a half going through and testing every setting and seeing what exactly it did, could I tell a real difference and how were the settings effecting my system.

Assetto Corsa settings:
Video Section:
reflections- Set this as per CSP recommendations for another setting to work.
Motion blur has to be off IF I want to use a setting in CSP but at this time I don't use the setting but I just left it off.
FXAA did not see the real need to use as other processing is plenty.
Mirrors- I like to see CLEARLY what is behind me.

Content Shader Patch Notes:

Extra FX Section:
If I enable this extension which I did not see a need to at this time, however note Temporal AA setting! Even though it is good at getting rid of the annoying visuals mainly on fences and around curbs in turns all this did when active is blur my visuals in all regards. Looked clear standing still but as soon as the car went on motion everything became blurry.

Graphic Adjustments:
Tried AMD FFX Res- No need to use but I tried it.
Far plane, m:
Tried different settings as to others online, I really could not tell what it was doing.
Post-processing anti-aliasing
see Dev note.. I did not need this as other PPA was good enough. No need to double up and use the resources here.

Notes on Shadows: If it doesn't effect the immersion then turn off shadows in every setting that offers them as they are heavy hitters to FPS and resources.

I set all this up using a 24 grid to run smooth and get the best visual immersion on the system I have at this time.
I do experience a frame drop every now and then (rarely) but i think that has to do with optimizations in the tracks or the complex processing of the AI in a certain scenario ( close and intense racing )

It just gets better and better with each version.

Sol was great for me, I only play in VR. But around 2 weeks ago I tried Pure 0.58 and CSP 1.77 and I haven't gone back to Sol since. Looks better in VR and weather/exposure looks better than Sol imo. Def give Pure 0.58 + CSP 1.77 a try too and see what you think.

I've started to hear more about this. The next time I'm ready to experiment i will give it a go thanks for the post !

I'm assuming you are using Content Manager. I love it and would never run AC without CM. But we should give a little warning to the noobie's. And that is if your are not careful you can totally bork your game install. Try one setting at a time until you get some time with it. CM is very powerful...but can be dangerous. It is awesome...and for me a must have..but be careful.

Can confirm this. If someone is new to AC and CM, don't make a whole bunch of changes all at once. It only takes a few seconds to start the game up in single player mode on an empty track so I would advise regularly checking the game to make sure it starts up and everything is working and if it's not, you'll know what the last few changes you made moments ago were. This especially rings true for mods. Always install 1 or 2 mods at a time not a whole bunch together as you won't know what's bonking up the game.
