I didn't notice any difference in frame rate. I love CM as I can spend the time setting up certain races then save the config so I don't have to do it all over again next time. I've only been messing with it a few hours and I'm sure there are lots of things I haven't tried yet.
CM is purely an executable, you can 100% run the vanilla game just by clicking on the original launcher. The only reason you could possibly running lower fps is CM has improved some settings. For example, ac.exe is the vanilla launcher. acs.exe is the game itself, and all CM does is replace the launcher.

What are your PC specs?

some crappy laptop
i5+gt540+8gram----i was getting 60fps at 1280*768 with all settings low
my thing is when i tried game after manager. it changes that loading screen that ur car+track loaded and it 100% crashes
Try removing 'AcTools Content Manager' from your 'C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local' directory, if that doesn't work rename your 'user\documents\assetto corsa' folder to something else and start the game again, AC will make a new folder.

i did that part last night and i learned it still leaves some "registry" things as "acmanager"
i delete them too now everything clear just assetto
CM by itself should not change anything. But some of it's plugins do throw themselves into the AC folder and that gets used regardless if you run original launcher or CM.
For example if there is a folder called "extension" in your AC main directory - thats where the plugins are. I think they are started by some of the .dll files present alongside main game executable "acs.exe". But at this moment i cant remember which one.

You could try removing every file from base game directory, and the "extension" folder, and run a steam file validation so it gets back only the original AC files. That should disable whatever stuff was added through CM.

You mean that you managed to disable the stuff added with CM and still have less frames ?

If so it might be on windows "fault tolerant heap"... google "FTH assetto" or something like that, there is a video on how to fix that.
What could happen is that plugins from CM make windows flag AC as a "problem" program, so even complete clean reinstall of AC does not help.

what i did was(to get rid) i deleted cm then i tried normal ac and it crashed every time
so i thot games "paths" are wrong due to dlls that manages that paths
so i did a "steam check" it said 2 files recovered...so i tried again
it crashed again
then i uninstall ac.then did a registry check if anything related to cm or ac is still alive
so i deleted them too
then reinstall ac.
and boom everythnig back to normal
CM is really just an alternative for the original AC launcher. You can actually use both at the same time interchangeably without any installing/uninstalling. Not really sure what went wrong in your case then.

I am using an integrated Intel card and after reducing some settings in CM below vanilla I can even increase the performance of AC (especially setting Shadows resolution to 32x32 and turning off Anisotropic Filtering does wonders for iGPUs).
