I have done that with no success, and everything else in my computer recognizes the wheel including the launcher but when I load into the driving session it stops my wheel from working

I run a G29 with VR and have had no issues, but I have seen some with similar issues. Try disabling steam controller input in AC properties in your steam library.

is there a new way to do that since there seems to be an update where you can't disable the steam controller

In 'Properties' - Controller tab? I still have an option to override the default steam controller. Also what software are you using for your G29? I've read of numerous issues with GHub, I use LGS 9.02.65 and have no dramas with it.

I have switched to logitech gaming software and found out how to disable the steam controller, but the driving session still doesn't recognize the wheel

Have you saved a profile? The first time I used my G29 with Content Manager I found I needed to create a profile using the AC standard launcher wizard, save the profile. Then start CM, reconfigure again and save the profile.

I'm not using content manger, should I switch over to it

I'd recommend it, most people use it. Also CSP (0.1.68 is the currently preferred version for VR use).

I have tried downloading cm and its still not detecting my wheel in the driving session

SOLUTION: If your wheel works on the configuration menu, and works without VR, then all its OK, you only forgot to use your mouse to click the first icon on the left (the wheel what starts the race), you need use the mouse (the VR controllers don't work) using the VR headset, you will see a little dot like the cursor, click on the red icon with a wheel and all will work.

No that’s not the issue people are having. Issues with wheel detection in game has for some users been an ongoing thing as ac.exe (the default launcher) and acs.exe (the actual game) can react differently.
