random stutter no fps drop
hey everyone, maybe i can get some help,
i have been having random stutter but i get no frame drops im locked at 60fps, for some reason it tends to happen more when im cornering and on occasion on a straight at full speed, i did notice on the in game ac_stat every time i get the stutter the phy_late counter goes up.
im running a 5930k i7, 1080 ti x2 ( i have disable sli and still get the random stutter)).
any tips would be greatly appreciated

hi bro, your problem could be the generation of your precessor, i have an i3 10k generation and the game at 60 fps

You might be right, I tried a variety of fixes and nothing, even with a fresh install of windows and nothing, the wierd thing is looking at the gpu and cpu graph they are consistent, I also ran the in game graph and fps and they looked consistent. Frames don't drop, I do feel the skip through the wheel as well, when it stutter it more like a jolt, the screen almost pause and jumps to where it should be and you get that jolt through the wheel.
I disable hyper threads and nothing. Re installed Nvidia drive and nothing. not sure what else to try.

No background processes interrupting? Checked replay quality and size (the larger this is the more it has to process and access the hdd)?

g sync is the way to go, do you have compatible monitor? plus try optimisations in CM, read what they do and put some work off the CPU and give it to GPU where u can

I set the replay recording to very low and unchecked auto save and nothing, I have it running on hdd. I'll un install it and reinstall on the ssd. Reading other forums I decided to run the game with an Xbox controller and it runs smooth, the phy_late stayed at zero, could it really be my wheel? If so how is that possible?I'm running a fanatec csw 2.

played earlier today on a server and had the same problem.
singleplayer was always ok, as much as i remember.

...also the people in the game were much faster than me. i have no explanation for that. like they have 200bhp more or something like that.

While there's no harm in moving it to an ssd AC will run perfectly fine on an hdd.

So I decided to one more time re install windows, the difference this time is I clicked the from the cloud options, then I went through the
Processes of removing everything that I don't need and making sure all the apps that I dont need don't run in the background. Normally I would go straight to Nvidia and re-download the drivers I need, this time I did not. I went and installed steam and assetto corsa. I installed the fanatec driver. So all I have installed on my fresh windows install is fanatec driver, steam, and assetto corsa. I ran the game with wheel and have not had any stuttering, it is working like a dream, the only problem is I can't pinpoint exactly what the problem was. The biggest difference was I didnot download the Nvidia driver. Once again not 100% if that is the problem. Anyways it's working great now. I'm afraid to install anything else though lol.

I know this is old but THANK YOU. I was going insane... I would get excellent framerates except for a stutter at completely random intervals, even with no other cars or audience in view. I adjusted every setting I could think of in CM but lowering replay quality instantly fixed it. My Steam library is on a Samsung 970 SSD and my specs are fairly beefy so I have no idea why this fixed it but I'm glad it did.

was your stutter in single or multiplayer?
